I can guide a missile by satellite ..
I may be the only one in the world who noticed this but .. "the fight against.." is used when talking about both cancer and .. obesity ..
i may also be the only one in the world who thinks this is a little bit wrong ..
i mean think about it.. cancer is something that people get, not because they ate a lot, but because shit happens. being overweight is mostly a choice. yes, i'm sure there are people who were born overweight and I completely understand that but most of the people who are overweight are that way because they eat far too much unhealthy food.
therefore, i think it is wrong to use the same phrase for both.
school was cancelled today .. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY .. so i got off early. i don't quite understand why they didn't just keep us home in the first place. it would have saved them a lot of time, money and effort in the long run. dumb school board..
nothing else is really on my mind at this point in time.
i wish it was summer.
all year long.
forever and ever.
i hate winter.
the end.

suck it up, princess..
The current state of the world is starting to really upset me. We are constantly bitching and bombing anyone who has a problem with us (by us i mean the US.. of which, Canada is more than willing to follow into ANY fight that the US starts) and we can't even trust the people who are there to keep us safe.
I'm sick and tired of coming home and turning on the tv to see another bombing or another soldier dead due to the stupidity of the government. I'm sick and tired of letting them ruin my future and my childrens' futures. Sick and effing tired of it. But sadly there is absolutly NOTHING that we can do about it because, along with the fact that they are complete morons, they are also stubborn adults who APPARENTLY know how to take care of things.. NEWS FLASH.. YOU DON'T and you are completely ruining the world around you so good on ya. You don't deserve your power or ability to make the rules. You are all a bunch of selfish idiots who have no remorse for anyone but yourself. You are pathetic and you disgust me.
ON THAT NOTE.. how about those also disgusting police officers who TAZER people who are on the ground already in handcuffs? How about that?! You also make me sick to my stomach. You think you're all high and mighty? You are all a bunch of morons who also don't deserve the power you have. You ruin and humiliate people who did nothing wrong just for shits and giggles. ANOTHER news flash.. karma is a bitch..
I'm not saying that all cops are like this. it would be like saying that all muslims bomb planes! but in actual fact this is NOT part of their religion by any means and it's the complete morons who go and blow themselves up. they use their religion as an excuse to do so. like cops; meant to protect, but then there are the idiots who only do it for the power trip and completely ruin the reputations of every other police officer..
I'm really getting tired of people who, because they have some sort of "power" they think they are better than everyone else. Almost to the extent where they believe they are the equivalent of god. Guess what guys? YOU'RE NOT.. nor will you ever be. The world is falling apart and it's because of you. Thanks a bunch.!
How does it feel to know you are killing kids overseas and killing our planet one hummer at a time?
But what the hell would I know? hmm? I'm just some teenager. Why would anyone listen to me? They would have no reason to and that's just how it is. They don't have to because they have more power than I will ever have yet sometimes it seems I have more common sense than them. By sometimes I mean all the damn time, fyi.

oh broken hearted hoover fixer sucker guy ..
Gotta love movies about street performers and piano players. Once is probably one of the best movies ever created. It was a low budget film so there are no crazy graphics or anything, but it is quite moving and has a cute story. I'm not going to tell you about it because I don't want to ruin it if you haven't seen it. All I'm going to say is that you should watch it atleast once. It's about forgiveness and friendship and dreams and.. well.. it's just great. Watch it!
On another note .. the essay on socialism has been completed and passed in on time. i'm happy with the end result but i kind of wish i had more time to work on it. Knowing me though i wouldn't have worked on it if i had extra time so i guess it'll have to do. I also passed in my giant painting of Al Pacino which was stress releaving. ugh. if you want a challenge try painting Al Pacino and make it actually look like him. It's not easy, I'll tell you that much.
I have started working on my essay for King's. I'm supposed to write about why i would be a good choice and why they should accept me. Me+writing positive things about myself = basically impossible. I don't know what other people think of me (frankly i don't really care) so i can't be all "oh i'm this, and i'm that" when i don't know if that's actually how i present myself. I'm just me.. i don't try to be anyone else.. it's complicated but whatever. I'm sure it'll all work out some way or another!
I guess i should work on some homework or something..

my imperfect offering
Well here it is ..
I used to do the whole livejournal stuff way back in junior high but i figured, if i want to be a journalist i should probably try different types of writing so, here it is.
this is my imperfect offering to the blogging world. i don't know what i'm doing and no one will read this, i'm sure, but what the hell ? nothing is perfect and i might aswell expand on forms of writing.
i'm not really sure what i'm going to write about on here but i'm sure it will all be quite interesting.. atleast to me..
that's the beauty of the internet.. if you don't like it you can press the tiny little 'x' in the top right hand corner of your screen.. fascinating, isn't it ?
this isn't too difficult, i've written about things of no importance whatsoever and i'm already on a role..
i really should be finishing my essay on socialism but it's a little difficult to write about the positives when everyone is so hooked on the negatives. there isn't much information out there, that i could find atleast. it's frustrating because everyone is all "oh the collapse of the soviet union, socialism is bad!" but if you honestly believe that then you have not looked into it enough. Socialism is based on the people and creating equality for the people. Tell me how the hell that is such a bad thing ? what happened in russia and what's happening in cuba is not pure socialism by any means. it is the leaders of the countries taking some of the ideas of socialism and turning it into what they want.
that's just my opinion..
you can thank my sociology teacher for that little rant.
and you can probably thank my boyfriend aswell because he's the one who introduced me to socialism and basically everything else that involves politics and government and such.
i never cared until i actually had to and now i find it quite interesting.
my thoughts before i learned a bit was that there was no point in voting because people are going to screw up and people are going to complane no matter who is elected but then i realized that we can change that. we are the generation that could/has to change the world. we are the ones who need to vote because our future as a human race depends on it. although, i guess all generations were/are the same .. we are the future and we need to fix it before we lose it..
i walked around halifax today and realized how absolutely beautiful the city is. everyone is so unique and has there own interesting stories and it's almost inspiring. there was a guy playing guitar on the corner across the street from starbucks and he was really good. the first time i saw him he was playing While My Guitar Gently Weeps. There was another guy playing the violin down the street. They were both amazing.
I love halifax.
anyway, i guess i should probably get to that essay, as it is due tomorrow..
